My concept for this piece is reviving an old art (flowers + vines/ivy). This is a neoclassicist sculpture, and during the neoclassicism era, this was everything the Romans did; it was important and valuable (hence the gold brush stroke) because it expressed their Neoclassicist political virtues. In the background of the picture are some of those virtues in Italian, i.e. virtue, heroism, enlightenment, seriousness, simplicity, order...
